I bought a scarf to wear on Easter that I loved…except, it had tassels on it.
I don’t do tassels. You can quote me on that. 🙂
For some reason, tassels bother me. I don’t think they belong on clothes. Maybe other things, but not clothes. I’ve been wondering the last few days why I have such a tassel aversion. Here’s what I’ve come up with:
- My grandparents used to have them hanging from their ceiling fans. Enough said.
- I just saw a picture in a magazine today with tassels hanging from curtains. They looked pretty awesome on the curtains. But do we typically wear other things we make curtains out of? No! 🙂
- Anyone remember the character on the Simpsons that was a scantily clad lady on a Brazilian TV show with spinning tassels from her bra? If not, Google it. Or better yet, don’t! I can’t unsee that! 🙂
These may seem like really silly points, but they are real to me. I don’t get the tassel fad right now. Every scarf in the store I was at the other day had tassels on it.
I love the scarf I bought, but you can bet that I stood in the aisle trying to see if there was a way to get rid of the tassels without messing it up after I got home. They looked pretty easy to remove, so the scarf came home with me. And the tassels came off!
See how nice And respectable it looks without tassels? 🙂
Again, I don’t do tassels. 🙂
Do you?
