As we were packing to leave Cabin Weekend yesterday morning, I decided it would be fun to go to the fair since we would be getting home early afternoon.  But Chris has class on Monday nights, so I needed help!  I ran the idea past my mom and she jumped on it!

So we got home, threw our cabin stuff in the house, threw the stroller in the van and headed off!

One of our first stops in the park was to get Momma a snack!  A girl’s gotta have some energy to maneuver through the fair with 3 kids!

 

We then headed to pet some animals!  My kids freak out with dogs, cats…all household pets!  But give them goats, emus, zebras, etc. and they go crazy!  Go figure!

 

 

This was the twins’ first trip to the fair, so we had to introduce them to Big Tex (or Bible Man as Sadie calls him.  No clue why!)

 

      

 

After meeting Big Tex, it was time for more food!  So off we went to the Food Court to get a funnel cake and pizza for the kids.

 

We then wandered around the new Kids Boardwalk area that was lots of fun!  Big Tex tattoos for everyone!

 

   

 

We then checked out the Canstruction exhibit and were successful in not knocking down any cans!  Caleb’s favorites were the R2D2 and Hamburger sculptures.  I have to agree!

    

 

I love walking around the fair when the sun is setting and the air gets a little cooler.  There’s something magical about that time of day for me.

We had a great time at the fair!  It was fun to introduce the twins to the fun (and bad food!) and to explore some different things this year!
